Whats the deal?

LIBRES is a metroidvania, heavily inspired by Hollow Knight.
Every single asset in this game was handpainted (digitally) and the whole project was ment to be deeply personal. As my first game ever I bet it is more than flawed and I need to keep working. But I think it is a fun game, and I wanted to share it with you all.

Why a Platformer?

This game was initially a student project, the year-end final project of my 2nd year at Game Design & Animation college, and the asignment was to create a platformer.

The game is not in english why?

LIBRES was initially conceived as a very personal project, and my mother language is spanish, so it felt like a natural decision.

Even thought my inicial drafts where in english, I decided to change that mid-development to ensure that the project felt even closer to my personal experience.

tl;dr
Im from Uruguay, and it was my first game, so I wanted to make it special and personal.
